(1947)
Amusing tour of gin distillery.

Cinema promotional film spirits from Bols.

Story
A movie from 1947 for the Bols Jenever (gin) distillery. In a funny way the production process is depicted.
Joop Geesink playfully shows the production process of various gin and liqueurs.
The atmosphere and tone is in a good '40s style.
Trivia
The film also shows that technology was still relatively in its infancy. Both the figures and the animations were simple. That the public and professional jury thought otherwise was proven by the fact that it won international prizes. For this period, shortly after the war, it was very special that this film was made in color. In the cinema it was still very common for the feature film to be shown in black and white. This shows how special this development was for Dollywood. From this period also comes "The Big Four." It shows that Joop Geesink was well on his way to opening up a new market.
Connoisseurs can still see the influences of the George Pál puppetoon characters in the design.
This commercial was programmed as a pre-film and therefore also had its own title. The attention of he bioscience audience was immediately caught because both color was used, but also that the title itself was animated in the form of the trumpet-blowing figures.
