Cultural heritage

The films were originally made for temporary and often commercial purposes. In short, they were advertising films. From this point of view, films were nothing more than disposable products. The archive was treated in the same way. It was preserved, but not in a structured way. It was not until around 2010 that the studio's entire oeuvre was recognised as national cultural heritage. This is a retrospective recognition of the work of the many employees, who often worked in complete anonymity.

Who is this site for?

This website is for people who want to learn about the old, sometimes (almost) forgotten, charming puppet films. Often made under very difficult technical conditions. Film students, artists, collectors and enthusiasts will all find something to interest them.
