Trivia

In the years 1942/43 Joop Geesink has worked briefly with Marten Toonder and they lead a animation studio together. They parted ways and Geesink solely focussed on doll-animation. With this movie, Geesink showed he can also deliver animated films. Director Henk Kabos came from Toonder animations and has made himself very useful as illustrator.

From Marten Toonder to Joop Geesink

The entire group of cartoonists, led by director Henk Kabos was soon able to join Geesink's studios. With this film, Geesink indicated he could also provide cartoons. The advertising film is possibly the only cartoon Henk Kabos made Joop Geesink. Kabos had worked extensively with Toonder on Tom Poes cartoons. He was a highly skilled cartoonist. Later, he concentrated entirely on art-direction of puppet films. Later he concentrated entirely on art-direction of puppet films. It is also noteworthy that this cartoon was shot under post-war conditions in the expensive, American Technicolor system.

The moving title letters were meant to give the impression that a serious problem was being addressed here. In any case, it draws attention.
