Joop Geesink is one of our stop motion animation major league players who absolutely helped shape the way we see and do things today. I teach with his work in my basic animation classes.

Thank you for posting Kermesse Fantastique! I saw it as a child, perhaps in 1957/8, and have longed ever since to see it again, but didn't know its title or... anyway, you have helped me recover a treasure from my past.

Wow .....Amazing! Whished I had George Pal's TIME MACHINE. I surely traveled back to the fifties to be in the Dollywood studio and see it happening.

"Nothing is better for thee than me." I am quite sure I saw this commercial once when I was very little. Years later I tried describing it to people and even wrote to the Quaker Oats Company about it. This has to be what I saw.

# Beech Nut.
I was born in '55 and remember this commercial from when I was a kid. Did Mr. Geesink also animate the Beech-Nut Fruit Stripe commercials with the striped animal figures?

I'm a storyboard artist at Pixar Animation. I was happy to find “Warm Friends”. Great work with the Geesink website-his work is the best! Matt Jones at PIXAR

I have just discovered this site. Thank you for the very interesting content.
My father worked at Dollywood during the 1950s and I wonder what has become of the studio building. I vaguely remember where it was but cannot remember the address or location. Can you tell me if the building still stands and exactly where it is located? Frank Hendrix

Leuk!!

Reaction on Piccolo, Saxo & Co.: Beautiful animation I didn't know; The recent film lacks the special poetry that we can find in this one. Being french I'd love to see a french adaptation of this one. As I own the original record in french I think I'm gonna try to download this film and synchronise it with the original version... And 1958 is my birth year so a good one!

I wish they still made commercials like this! I also love it that in this commercial technology is used to promote the imagination, instead of economic value or other materialistic things.
